Prosthodontics is a field of clinical dentistry that aims to restore functional impairment and esthetics that occur when there is substantial loss due to dental caries and trauma, or when any number or all teeth are completely missing. It is a field that is very dentist-centric in nature regarding treatment and research. It includes Dental Bridges, Removable Partial Prosthodontics, Complete Denture Prosthodontics, Occlusion, Implantology, Geriatric Dentistry, and their respective clinical practice. The department offers 47 credits and a total of 140 hours of lecture and laboratory practice, which is approximately 29% of the total credits offered by the School of Dentistry.
