Chonnam National University School of Dentistry (CNUSD) started in 1955 with the approval of the Department of Dentistry at Chonnam National University Medical School. It later expanded by opening the Pre-Dentistry Program in 1978, the College of Dentistry in 1981, and officially became a graduate-level dental school in 2003. Since then, we have trained over approximately 3,000 graduates, working to improve public oral health and advance the field of dentistry.

Our goal is to "train dentists who meet the needs of the nation and local communities by providing them with knowledge, skills, and a spirit of service." To achieve this, we have state-of-the-art clinical training facilities and experienced professors who offer top-quality clinical education. We also run various humanities programs to nurture compassionate dentists who can effectively communicate with patients.

The CNUSD continuously strives to grow into a global university. We have established an advanced dental hospital and several buildings for basic/clinical education and research. Additionally, we have secured MRC and BRL research centers to conduct dental research. We actively collaborate with universities worldwide, engaging in student exchange programs and other activities.
