On January 15, 1955, accreditation as the department of dentistry in the college of medicine became the matrix of our collage, Chonnam National University School of Dentistry (CNUSD). . Since the establishment of the pre-dental department in 1978 and the opening of CNUSD in 1981, we have produced excellent dental scientists and dentists
In 2006, the school system was reorganized from the College of Dentistry to the Graduate School of Dentistry. After relocating from the Hakdong Campus to the Yongbong-dong Campus in 2008, we have created an optimal treatment and research environment to operate a number of research centers including MRC. In 2020, the Education Research Center was completed to prepare for future education, and the Clinical Skills Test Center was opened in 2021. Externally, it has established itself as a leading university in dentistry. In addition, from the 2014 academic year, the integrated bachelor's and master's degree program was introduced to establish itself as the cradle of talented people with excellent and enterprising passion. In addition, we strive to become a school that practices sharing and contributes to society through various volunteer activities by students, alumni, and faculty members both inside and outside the school.
Keeping in mind the educational goal of “to nurture oral health professionals equipped with knowledge, skills and service spirit as medical personnel who can respond to the needs of the country and community”, we will do our best to foster talented people who fulfill their responsibilities as dentists and have a positive impact on progressive change and development in society.
