The Chonnam National University School of Dentistry began as Chonnam National University College of Dentistry on the Hakdong Campus in 1981, and the school was renamed and reorganized as the Graduate School of Dentistry in 2005. Since 2014, the school has been offering two concurrent programs, each program consisting of half of the school’s student quota. The first program is the seven-year integrated program (three years of undergraduate and four years of master’s degree-pouse) and other program is the master’s degree program (a four-year program).

The school moved to the Clinical Education Center on Yongbong Campus in 2008 and is equipped with state-of-the-art educational facilities and with the best research and dental staff. With the newly built Educational Research Center (Building 3) in 2020, we continue to lead development in domestic and international dentistry in preparation for the future educational environment.

Our 3,500 alumni all over the country play an outstanding role in improving public oral health and in the field of dental medicine. We are proud of their services and extraordinary affection these alumni show for their alma mater.
